Water where it should not be?

Describe the problem once. We pass it to a plumber near you who is licensed in Illinois and already works in your town.

North Shore Plumbing connects Lake County homeowners with a licensed local plumber. We are not a plumbing contractor.

  • A person reads every request. Not a bot.
  • Sending one is free, and there is nothing to agree to.
  • The plumber who calls you is licensed in Illinois.

The short version

A puddle spreading across a bare concrete basement floor under copper pipes, with a damp cardboard box beside it.

North Shore Plumbing is the front door, not the plumber.

You fill in one form. A person reads it, and it goes to a plumber near you who holds an Illinois license and already covers your town. They call you, they quote the job, and they do the work. You pay this site nothing.

Three steps, and none of them is a phone tree

You describe the problem.

Plain words are fine. Where the water is, when it started, and whether it is still running.

A person reads it.

Not a bot. If something is missing, we come back with a question.

A licensed plumber calls you.

We match the request to the work and to your town, and you agree on the price with them. If we cannot place it with a plumber who covers your town, we tell you so.

What a plumber near you needs to know

  • Where the water is.

Under a sink, in the basement, at the water heater, or somewhere behind a wall.

  • When it started.

Today, last week, or every time it rains. That changes who the request goes to.

  • Whether it is still running.

If you have shut the main valve, say so. If you cannot find the valve, say that instead.

  • Your town.

Lake County is wide. The plumber who takes the job is the one who already drives your streets.

Towns with a page of their own

Each page covers what the plumbing in that town is really like. If your town is not on the list, send the form anyway and put the name in it.

What this site is

A place to describe a plumbing problem once and have a person read it. We sort it, we match it to the right trade and the right town, and we hand it on. That is the whole service, and it costs you nothing.

What this site is not

We are not a plumbing contractor. We do not hold a plumbing license. We do not send anyone to your house, we do not price the work, and we do not warrant it. The plumber does all of that, under their own license.

Your details go only to the plumber who receives your request, and that plumber may pay us for the introduction. We do not sell or rent details to marketers, data brokers, or lead lists, and we do not send one request out for several companies to bid on.

Questions people ask before they send anything

Does this cost anything?

No. Sending a request is free and there is no obligation. Any price for the work is settled between you and the plumber. The plumber may pay us for the introduction, never you.

Are you the plumber?

No. North Shore Plumbing connects Lake County homeowners with a licensed local plumber. We are not a plumbing contractor, and we do not carry out plumbing work.

Is the plumber licensed?

Yes. We only pass requests to plumbers who hold an Illinois plumber's license and whose firm holds the state contractor registration. How it works explains both documents and shows you where to check a license yourself.

How fast will someone get back to me?

We cannot promise a time. A person reads every request, and the plumber sets their own schedule after that. If we cannot place your request with a licensed plumber who covers your town, we tell you rather than leave you waiting. If water is running and you cannot stop it, shut the main valve first.

What happens to my details?

They go only to the plumber who receives your request, and that plumber may pay us for the introduction. We do not sell or rent details to marketers, data brokers, or lead lists. The privacy policy has the full detail.
